Page 2 of 2 e-CommerceThere are two functions of a website that are hugely useful to any business owner. The first is the possibilities it opens up for e-commerce. In order to survive, every business that exists offers either a service, or goods for sale. One of the best ways to increase your market share is to make it easier for your customers to procure your goods or services. Selling your goods through your website makes it much more convenient for your customers to order from you and is a sure way to increas3e sales, especially if you have an attractive and easy to use website. Contact networkThe other function that a website can serve that is very useful is the building of a contact network. You can do this a variety of ways such as the use of an online guest book or through an opt-in email list. Opt in mailing lists have been proven to be highly effective ways of increasing a business’s sales. When you have people that you can advertise to on a regular basis you are increasing your contact base much the same way you would by offering a promotion to get people into a physical store. For all these and many more reasons, having a website can truly make a difference in the operations of any business.
